Pork Shoulder Braised with Hungarian Pepper Stew and Mashed Potatoes

Discover the ultimate comfort food experience with Chef Adrian’s recipe for Pork Shoulder Braised with Hungarian Pepper Stew and Mashed Potatoes. Tender pork shoulder is infused with traditional Hungarian spices, creating a symphony of sweet and smoky flavors.

Ingredients:

  • 2lbs diced pork shoulder

  • Salt and pepper

  • 80ml olive oil

  • 1 package Chefs Club hungarian pepper stew, thawed

  • 500ml water

  • Pinch of dried oregano

  • 1 package Central Park Farms country mashed potatoes

Directions:

  1. Heat oil in a large oven proof pot.

  2. Season pork with salt and pepper; brown in oil.

    Tip: Make sure to turn pork and get some nice browning on the meat, this will add more flavor to your stew.

  3. Add Hungarian pepper stew, water, and oregano to pot.

    Tip: When adding the liquid to pot, scrape up those beautiful brown bits on the bottom. This will

    add even more flavor to your stew.

  4. Cover pot with a lid and bake in a 350 degree oven until tender. Time will depend on dice size of meat. Will take approx. 1 to 1.5 hours

  5. Once tender, remove from the oven and skim the fat from the top. Serve over mashed potatoes (follow directions on package of potatoes).
