THE STORY BEHIND THE JERKY

Jagger grew up on this farm working long days and tasked with big responsibility from an early age.

So when it came time to graduate high school and figure out what was next, he had options. Employers in the trades were offering good wages and clear career paths, but Jagger wanted something unexpected:

He wanted to stay.

With the farm not able to compete wage-wise with the trades, at least not right away Jagger knew if he was was going to build a future on the farm, he’d need more than just a job. He’d need a chance to learn how to run something of his own.

So he made a plan to work full-time on the farm while also building a small business of his own. Something that would teach product development, pricing, production, sales, and customer feedback. A real business, with real responsibility.

About a month later, while still in Grade 12, he came up with an idea.

He wanted to make jerky.

Why jagger’s jerky

For Jagger, jerky wasn’t about chasing trends.

It was about creating a snack that actually works for real life:

  • High in protein — fuel for long days, workouts, school, or farm chores

  • Nutrient-dense — naturally rich in iron and essential amino acids

  • Simple ingredients — no fillers, no artificial preservatives, no mystery additives

  • Small-batch crafted — flavour comes from time, not shortcuts

This is jerky made the old-fashioned way: slow, intentional, and packed with real meat flavour
