How We Got Here — Episode 1
This might be one of the most spur-of-the-moment things I’ve done in a while... but I started a(nother) podcast.
No fancy launch plan, no polished title when I hit record, just me sitting down and deciding it was time to show up in a new way for the people who support our farm. You.
If you’re used to following along with us on Instagram or getting our email newsletters, you know I love sharing the behind-the-scenes of what it looks like to raise food for our community. But sometimes those little boxes or quick updates don’t leave room for the full story, and honestly, there’s a lot more to tell.
This first episode is exactly that: the story of how Central Park Farms got started. From my past life in a corporate job (that I didn’t love), to meeting Jay (who had zero interest in farming again), to a surprise delivery of 500 chicks that kind of kickstarted everything.
I’ll be honest: I didn’t grow up farming. I didn’t even grow a vegetable before starting this. I thought I was signing up for a little backyard homesteading project... and ended up with a business that completely changed my life.
This new podcast won’t be about how to rotationally graze cattle or run a farm business (I’ve got another podcast for that). This one is just for us to share the ups, downs, and real-life moments that happen when your food is raised by a family like ours.
So if you’ve ever picked up a package of our chicken or beef, or just want to know more about the people behind the farm, I’d love if you gave it a listen.
