Mother’s Day on the Farm

Setting the table for Mother’s Day doesn’t have to be complicated, it’s really just about creating a moment. Pull out some vintage linens, add a few soft layers, and bring in fresh florals (even better if they’re something she can take home after). It doesn’t need to be perfect, just thoughtful.

If getting outside is an option, a picnic is always a lovely way to celebrate. Whip up a batch of our Farmhouse Chicken Salad for sandwiches—we love it on a good baguette—bring along some sparkling water, and add a few baked goods from your local bakery. Simple, but it feels special.

If you’re hosting at home, whether it’s lunch or dinner, both the Farmhouse Chicken Salad Sandwiches and the Cobb Salad with Honey Mustard Vinaigrette work beautifully. They’re the kind of dishes you can prep ahead, making it easy to bring everything together without feeling rushed. Set the table outside if you can, or near the garden to bring that same feeling in.

Planning a brunch? Our Classic Quiche or Baked Croissant Casserole are perfect to serve. Add a few baked goods and some fresh fruit, and you’ve got a full spread (don’t forget the coffee).

For dessert, the Lemon Cornmeal Cake is always a favourite because it’s easy to make, but still a bit of a showstopper.

However you choose to celebrate, it really comes down to time together. Around the table or out on a picnic blanket, it’s those simple moments that make the day feel special.
